When we selected our new neighborhood, KB Home had purchased all of the remaining lots in the neighborhood, thus they were our builder by default.
We loved the floorplan of this house, but weren't crazy about KB's finish options. We decided to take their base offering, and then changed out the kitchen and bathrooms (and cabinet installs in other areas).
This album depicts the construction process from ground breaking to close; the remodeling work will be put in separate binders.
Unfortunately, these trees didn't make it.

July 29th -- the dirt moving begins.
Foundation frame constructed
Foundation poured. We watered it every day for a week.
Framing begins.
Framing just about complete.
The roof finally starts to go on.

Things sit for a bit while the builder fixes a problem our third party engineer notices with the window installation. The windows are now being reinstalled.
The party starts again.

Please ignore the car in the driveway. One of the things we somehow failed to realize when selecting this home was that cars would be parked essentially on our front porch. Whoops.
